Join me for an exploration into the senses.

    Would you like:

    • to feel more alive?

    • to experience more passion and pleasure?

    • to feel more connected to your body?

    • to reimagine your relationship with food?

    • to be more grounded and joyful?

    • to be more present and mindful?

We employ all of our senses when engaging with the food we eat. And we eat every day. The Sensuality of Food suggests that by simply noticing your sensory experience you can achieve greater satisfaction, more joy, more pleasure, and more presence in your life.

The Sensuality of Food teaches a practical habit of attention. Attention to your body, attention to pleasure, attention to desire. In my years as a professional cook, private chef, cooking teacher and holistic health coach I've found that food acts as the perfect entry point into deeper awareness, mindfulness, and embodiment.

Through the practice of very simple exercises that require no additional equipment and little additional time you can achieve an experience of satisfaction and pleasure that goes with you everywhere, that is available to you at all times. I offer this to you: a more connected, present, vibrant life.

The Sensuality of Food meets online and can accomodate any style of eating and any dietary requirements. Each week you will focus on an individual sense, exploring how you experience the sensations of touch, sound, sight, smell and taste. Each class involves a series of exercises, meditations, and activities to get you further into each sense.

All classes are conducted over Zoom, access to recordings are available.

    Come along for the adventure.

*This is a class of attention. There will be assignments and exercises and "homework" but it is not a cooking class and there is no base level of cooking skill required for success in this course. • Praise for The Sensuality of Food

"This class is incredibly powerful, and so much deeper than cooking or food. Through Amelia's class I've learned how to increase my pleasure and enjoyment of life. And begin to change my relationship with the kitchen."

    -Jacqueline

"I celebrate the joy I got out of being part of this course. The simplest thing became profound when attention was placed on it. I experienced eating differently and it spilled over into all areas of life"

    -Sal

"I was concerned at first about taking a class about sensory experience online- how would we connect in a way that was meaningful? Luckily Amelia is a genius and included guided meditations and mindful moments into the class, encouraging all of us to seek these experiences in real time. As a result of this course I began to find time to focus in on the details all around me. As a professional cook I often feel that I don’t have time to stop and feel out the reality of what I’m doing. Amelia helped me to realize that you don’t have to stop what you’re doing to be present. I would recommend this course to anyone seeking a greater sense of concentration and connection when working with food. The skills learned applied to other areas of life as well- mindfulness in action!"
